Provide first aid
This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty. The unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.
There is an online registration and theory component which takes up to 2 hours followed by a face to face practical session which can take up to 5.5 hours depending on class size, participant’s theory knowledge and practical ability. There are no pre-requisite requirements for this course.
Course assessment tasks:
- Theory questions consisting of multiple choice and short answer questions
- Performance tasks
- Simulated practical scenarios
- NOTE: CPR must be demonstrated on the floor for 2 minutes
The normal price for this course is $110 per person.
